NORTHRIDGE, Calif. - CSUN women's volleyball completed its 2016-17 recruiting class as head coach Jeff Stork announced that Hayden Warnock has signed a National Letter of Intent with the Matadors.
Warnock is the fourth and final student-athlete to sign with CSUN women's volleyball during the early signing period.
A 6-3 middle blocker from Corona del Sol High School in Tempe, Ariz., Warnock posted 127 kills and 78 blocks (17 solo) as a senior this fall. She helped the Aztecs to 67 wins over her final three seasons including a 21-19 record and a fifth place state finish in 2015. Warnock was named Most Improved Player as a freshman in 2012.
"We envision Hayden as a middle or a right side hitter for us," said Stork. "She is relatively new to the game but she has great lateral movement and really long arms so she gets a lot of touches at the net. Hayden is already a good blocker and will get physically stronger when she gets here, she brings a ton of potential."
Warnock joins Morgan Salone, Daniella Molinari and Kamalu Makekau-Whittaker who signed previously with the Matador women's volleyball team.
"I think this is a group of really good volleyball players," added Stork. "We know we have a lot of gifted athletes and a lot of good volleyball players in our program right now and these four will certainly add to that."
