CSUN 12th After Opening Round of Stanford's Peg Barnard Invitational

STANFORD, Calif. - The CSUN women's golf team opened the Peg Barnard Invitational Saturday and the Matadors posted a first round 309 and are 12th heading into Sunday's second round.
Individually, senior Sharon Shin had a solid opening round with a season-low 74. At three over-par, Shin is tied for 18th heading into round two. Arinda Bhanaraksa is just outside the top-20 after one round after carding a four-over 75 which is good for a tie for 22nd.
Elsewhere, Cesilie Hagen is tied for 53rd at eight-over 79, Rebecca Bostrom is tied for 58th at 10-over 81 and Elisabeth Haavardsholm is 63rd at 15-over 86.
Paige Lee of UC Davis is the individual leader after one round after firing a round of five-under 66. Her UC Davis team also has the team lead at 283.
The second and final round gets underway Sunday from Stanford Golf Course.
