CSUN Adds Nickeisha Williams to 2016-17 Class

NORTHRIDGE, CA - CSUN women's volleyball added another building block for the 2016 season as head coach Jeff Stork announced the signing of Nickeisha Williams to a National Letter of Intent.Â
Williams is a 5-10 outside hitter from Narbonne High School who played two seasons at El Camino College in Torrance. She earned second team All-State honors for the Warriors and was named Most Valuable Player of the South Coast Conference in 2015. Williams, who also played beach volleyball for the Warriors, helped her El Camino indoor squad to a 26-3 record in 2015.
"Nickeisha played very well for her El Camino College indoor team and also enjoyed a lot of success on the beach side," said Stork. "She's very intelligent and brings a solid academic background to CSUN, I think she's going to fit very well into our program."
Williams prepped at Narbonne High School in Harbor City where she lettered all four years in volleyball while also playing one season of basketball. She earned first team All-City and Marine League MVP accolades in addition to the Coaches Awards. The Gauchos won league championships all four years (2010-13) with Williams playing outside hitter. Also a standout in the classroom, she earned honor roll accoladed, compiling a 3.6 grade point average.
"As a player, Nickeisha is very dynamic and explosive in addition to being a well-rounded athlete who can play multiple positions," added Stork.
Williams joins previous signees Morgan Salone, Daniella Molinari, Kamalu Makekau-Whitaker and Hayden Warnock who signed with CSUN in the early signing period.
