The CSUN women’s basketball team returns to the hardwood Tuesday night when the Matadors travel to San Diego State.

NORTHRIDGE, Calif.—The CSUN women's basketball team returns to the hardwood Tuesday night when the Matadors travel to San Diego State. Tip is set for 6:30 p.m. and will be streamed by the Mountain West Network. All audio/video links are available on GoMatadors.com.

San Diego State opened the 2017-18 campaign last Friday night by defeating Presbyterian 77-50. The Aztecs made 12 three-pointers against the Blue Hose. Freshman Najé Murray scored 14 points in just 13 minutes. This is the 15th time that CSUN and San Diego State are going to match up in women's basketball. The Aztecs lead the all-time series 10-4.

The Matadors dropped a 91-43 decision to No. 11 Oregon in the first round of the Preseason WNIT Nov. 10. Channon Fluker scored nine points and had nine rebounds to pace CSUN. Three players; Tessa Boagni, Destiny Brooks, and Claudia Ramos each scored six points. As a result of the loss, the Matadors dropped into the consolation portion of the tournament's bracket.

CSUN will travel to New Orleans for two games. The Matadors will face the host Privateers Friday night at 5:30 p.m. On the other side of the bracket are Houston and Milwaukee. On Saturday, the winners of Friday's games will matchup against each other with the losers facing off. New Orleans will play in the 2:30 game on Saturday regardless of Friday's results. The other Saturday game will begin at 12 p.m.
