Making his first appearance since Dec. 1, junior Rodney Henderson Jr. scored 17 points and hit 5-of-5 shots from 3-point range. Sophomore Terrell Gomez added 11 points while Brown finished with 11 points and seven assists.
Heading into the week, Diane remains near the top in scoring and rebounding in the nation. CSUN seeks its first win over a team from the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) since beating Idaho 79-69 in Dec. 2013.
The Matadors' tilt with New Mexico State is their second game in the Las Vegas Classic. CSUN opened up play in the classic against San Diego on Dec. 9, falling 82-68. The Matadors will conclude the tournament in Las Vegas this weekend, starting with a match-up with SIUE on Saturday at 11 a.m..
