
Alice Duan in the Top-10, CSUN Seventh in Sacramento

ROSEVILLE, Calif. - Sophomore Alice Duan fired rounds of 74-73 and is tied for eighth through 36 holes of the Sacramento State Invitational Monday at Sierra View Country Club.
At three-over 147, Duan is 12 shots off the pace set by Vanessa Ha of San Francisco who heads into the final round at nine-under 135. Duan had three birdies in the second round after posting one in round one. She was three-over after 13 holes in the Monday's afternoon round before tallying birdies on two of her final four holes to get back to one-over for the round and three-over for day.
As a team, the Matadors are seventh in the eight-team field at 614 (306-308). In addition to having the individual leader, San Francisco also holds the team lead nine-under 567. CSUNÂ is just nine shots out of the top five heading into Tuesday's final round.
After Duan, Kayla Yn is also in the top-20 after carding rounds of 75-75 to tie for 16th at six-over 150. Yn also had four birdies on the day and opens Tuesday just two shots out of the top-10.
Also for the Matadors, Michelle Duan and Shenna DeLeon are tied for 39th at 15-over 159. Duan posted rounds of 78-81 while DeLeon finished Monday with rounds of 80-79. Brooke Hamilton is tied for 44th at 17-over 161 following rounds of 79-82.
CSUN also had a pair of individuals competing, Ashley Phelps and Brianna Steger are also tied for 44th at 17-over 161. Phelps carded rounds of 79-82 while Steger finished with rounds of 82-79.
The Matadors will be paired with CSU Bakersfield for the final round which opens off the 10th hole at 8:45 a.m.
