FULL GAME NOTES
NORTHRIDGE, Calif.---CSUN Men's Basketball (8-12, 2-2 BWC) returns to action on Wednesday evening as the Matadors host Long Beach State on ESPN3 at 7 p.m. Ghizal Hasan and Alan Zinsmeister will also be on the call in an audio broadcast on the CSUN Sports Network presented by Dignity Health at 6:50 p.m.
The Matadors suffered a heartbreaking home loss last Saturday to UC Irvine, 74-68. CSUN led 47-31 at the half but could not hold on to the lead down the stretch. The Matadors, who shot 63.3 percent from the field in the first half, went cold in the second half, giving the Anteaters a chance to fight back. UCI would out-rebound CSUN 51-30 and collect 36 second-chance points. The Anteaters went on a 14-3 run to end the game, capitalizing on a six-minute CSUN scoring drought.
Sophomore Terrell Gomez collected 21 points on 8-of-15 shooting while freshman Lamine Diane poured in 21 points, nine rebounds, four assists, four blocks and two steals. Junior Rodney Henderson Jr. added 18 points for the Matadors who dropped their second-straight game.
