Schrott, who sat at seven-under to lead the 84-player field after Monday's two rounds, carded a final round four-over 75 to finish in a tie for third at three-under 210. Schrott had a pair of bogeys on the front nine and made the turn at two-over. Three bogeys and two birdies on the back nine left him at four-over for the round and three-under 210 for the tournament.
Brothers, who posted rounds of 70-75 on Monday, moved up nine spots on the leader board following a final-round even-par 71. Brothers was three-under through 12 holes before closing with three bogeys over his final six holes to finish tied for 15th at three-over 216. Thomassen also posted a top-20 finish despite three double bogeys on the front nine. CSUNÂ SCORES
COACH JIM BRACKEN SAID
"Blake was three-under for much of his round and even though he had a tough stretch over his last six holes, he still posted one of the low rounds of the day. It was a frustrating day all-around but I can't be disappointed in the team finishing in the top-four in a decent field. We'll look to keep improving and are excited to be hosting the Cullum Invitational at our home course, The Oaks at Valencia for the first time in two weeks."
CSUN will be back on the course Oct. 11-12 when the Matadors host the Bill Cullum Invitational at The Oaks Club at Valencia.
