NORTHRIDGE, Calif.---After a 2+ week delay due to COVID protocols, the CSUN Women's Basketball team returns to the court Saturday when the Matadors travel to Cal Poly. The tip is set for 2 p.m. with coverage on ESPN+.
Â
CSUN was put on pause from all activities due to COVID protocols within the program on Dec. 28. As a result, the games scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 30 against UC Irvine, Saturday, Jan. 1 against UC San Diego, Thursday, Jan. 6 at CSU Bakersfield were canceled and per the recently adjusted Big West policies, these games will be declared no contest, and they will not be rescheduled.
Â

Â

The 58-point margin was a new school record, breaking the previous mark of 46 which occurred on Nov. 25, 2000, when the Matadors defeated Nicholls State 90-54.
Â
The seven field goals that Antelope Valley recorded were the fewest by a CSUN opponent since the Matadors moved to the Division I level. (9 was the previous low by UC Santa Barbara on Feb. 14, 2015). The 13.5% field goal shooting was the lowest by a Matadors' opponent at the Division I level. The previous low was 19.6% by San Francisco on Dec. 5, 2012. Six of the seven UAV field goals were from three-point range. The 32 UAV points were the fewest scored by a CSUN opponent since Hawai'i scored 29 on Jan. 17, 2019.
