COACH MICHELLE WINKLER SAID
"Fernanda played great today. She had 17 pars and one bogey in round two which is a heck of a score in the cold and wind. She is only seven strokes behind the leader, so she can easily come back tomorrow and win. We still need to work on our putting, but overall we executed a good strategy. We lost so many strokes due to our three-putting, so if we can clean that up we have a good shot at moving up the leaderboard."
The Matadors will be paired with Navy, Radford and Lehigh for the final round which gets underway with a shotgun start Tuesday morning at 9 a.m.
