CSUN PERFORMANCES
ACCORDING TO ASSISTANT COACH DEVIN ELIZONDO
"I inherited a hard-working group, and I am proud of their effort today. Our leaders did a great job of setting-up in a good spot for the rest of our pack to chase. On the men's side we were led by a first-year athlete in Camilo Torres and a veteran in Danny Rodriguez. Both young men set a strong competitive example for the entire group. I'm excited by the improvements we've made and looking forward to getting back to work."
"I'm excited for Nicky Contreras, racing in her first 6k today, running very close to the 22-minute barrier. This is a great start for our women."
"This was an important day as every Big West team (except for CSU Bakersfield) was in attendance. We will be able to use this as a measuring stick for training and racing as we move through the regular season toward championship racing."

CSUN returns to racing Oct. 1 when the Matadors travel to the Pepperdine Waves Invitational.
