Finally, Jolene Coetzee and Angela Ho clinched the point as they defeated Valeriya Deminova and Avery Aude 7-5 in the No. 1 doubles match.
Fordham scored at No. 5 singles when Casasampere defeated Emma Moratalla Sanz 6-1, 7-6 (7-4). The loss ended Mortalla Sanz's eight-match winning streak. Turchak returned the lead to the Matadors at No. 2 with a 6-4, 6-1 victory versus Hung.
Zhytelna improved to a team-leading 10-2 in singles when she handed Fasoula a 6-1, 7-5 defeat at No. 3. It was Zhytelna's seventh consecutive singles victory. Coetzee closed the dual out with a 6-4, 6-3 win at No. 1 against Deminova. CSUN improved to 7-0 on the season at the Matador Tennis Complex.
The winning streak is the longest for CSUN since 2019 when the Matadors won seven in a row.
PLAYER REACTION
"Honestly, the connection in doubles is getting better and better," Coetzee said. "In the beginning, I was not communicating as much because I never played doubles with a different player; I was always playing with the same partner up to this point. However, Angela and I have slowly become friends outside the court this year, which has helped our bond."
