CSUN Enters Big West Track & Field Championships This Weekend

NORTHRIDGE, Calif.—The CSUN men's and women's track and field teams return to the Big West Track and Field Championships for the 22nd time since the Matadors joined the conference in time for the 2001-02 season.
BIG WEST HISTORY
The CSUN men are looking to win their sixth Big West Championship, their first since 2010. The Matador women are 10-time conference champions, the last time coming in 2017.
Hosted by Cal State Fullerton, Friday's field events begin at 10 a.m., with the first running event beginning at 2:20 p.m. The field events start at 10 a.m. on Saturday, with the opening running final beginning at 1 p.m. ESPN+ covers both days starting at 2 p.m.
Arianna Alexander is the defending champion in the women's 100m dash. She became the 11th CSUN runner to win the Big West 100m since the Matadors joined the league in 2002, a year ago, running a career-best :11.59 to win the event.
