COLFAX, Wash.---CSUN Cross Country completed the fall season at the 2024 NCAA West Regional on Friday at Colfax Gulf Course. As a team, CSUN claimed 37th place to finish with 1,130 points. Oregon won the team race with 43 points while Stanford's Amy Bunnage won the individual race with a time of 19:17.1.
ACCORDING TO COACH JASON ZARB-COUSIN
"I thought we executed our plan really well and ran with resilience today. Both teams moved up throughout the race. The women moved up two spots and the men three spots. Elin ran a great race in her last cross country race of her career. She moved up 57 places throughout the race and was just short of a season's best on the slowest course we have run all season. Savannah also ran one of her better races of the season moving up 34 spots. On the men's side, Thomas ran incredibly well especially for a freshman. His time on a really slow course was 14th fastest for 10k in our school history (overall) and the fourth fastest for a freshman. He moved up 39 places throughout the race. This bodes well for a bright future in front of him. Cesar and Kai had really great performances and were clutch in helping us a team."
