COACH ARI HOMAYUN SAID
"It was finally perfect beach volleyball weather today in Northridge. Stoked we were able to pull out the bounce-back win against Colorado Mesa, which has some athletic girls on their team. We didn't quite execute in our first match and we just made way too many unforced errors. I thought we cleaned up the volleyball a ton in that second match and we just competed harder. There were better efforts and just a higher level of efficiency. This was a good day for us going into this weekend's Big West Challenge where we will see similar-level teams."
UP NEXT
The Matadors next head north for this weekend's Big West Challenge which will be held at UC Davis and Sacramento State. CSUN will play three matches on Friday at UC Davis (UC Davis, Hawai'i. Cal State Bakersfield) before taking on Long Beach State and Sacramento State on Saturday at Sac State's Hornet Beach. The Matadors cap the weekend back at UC Davis against Cal Poly on Saturday at 3 p.m.
