After posting the second-lowest team round of the day on Monday, the Matadors were among the low teams again on Tuesday but were not able to gain any ground in the team competition. At 17-over 881 (307-287-287), CSUN finished sixth in the nine-team field.

COACH JIM BRACKEN SAID
"We got it to 3 or 4-under today and then made some mistakes that cost us. Overall, it was the first round that was really demoralizing for us. We just made so many bogeys as a team on Sunday and that was tough to bounce back from. Our goal after Sunday was to get back into the top five and we missed that by one shot today."

ON HIS SENIOR CLASS
"As a team, I don't think I've ever had five guys that averaged 73 or better throughout an entire season. We set a school record shooting 20-under in Hawai'i and this group of seniors are just a great group of guys. We have Academic All-Americans, All-Big West Academic honorees, this group will certainly be missed. Our young guys learned a lot from this group of seniors and they will benefit from that next year."
