Men's Golf Tied for First After Opening Round at Torrey Pines

LA JOLLA, Calif. - Junior Domenic De Luca is tied for fourth after carding an even-par 72 to pace the CSUN Men's Golf team after one round of the UC San Diego Invitational on Sunday at Torrey Pines. As a team, the Matadors carded a round of 13-over 301 and are tied for first in the 20-team field.

"Torrey Pines South is a really tough golf course, and shooting 301 is a pretty decent score here. Anytime you're leading a tournament is a confidence builder, but we need to build on this round and follow it up with another good round tomorrow."
