HEAD COACH JIM BRACKEN SAID
"Conditions aside, there's no sugarcoating it, we just played really bad golf today. We weren't hitting fairways and had plenty of penalty shots because of our poor ball-striking. Ethan played well, but I'm sure he feels like he still threw some shots away.
"Over the next two days, I want to see that the guys are willing to grind and just execute better. We simply can't make mistakes like we made today."
UP NEXT
CSUN will be paired with UC Riverside for Monday's second round, which gets underway with Judkins leading the Matadors off at 12:30 p.m. off the No. 1 tee.
