Men's Golf Tied for 16th After Opening Round of Wyoming Cowboy Classic

MARICOPA, Ariz. -Â Freshman Tavin Boman fired a season-low 4-under 68 in round one of the Wyoming Cowboy Classic on Monday. The tournament, scheduled for 36 holes on day one, was suspended by darkness with two holes yet to play. CSUN fired a team round of even-par 288 and is tied for 16th in the 23-team field.

HEAD COACH JIM BRACKEN SAID
"At one point we were 9-under, we just gave away shots on not very difficult holes to finish the round. The good thing is we're starting to show signs of what we're capable of. We've got two holes to finish tomorrow and I'd be happy if we can pick up a few shots before heading into the final round."

All teams will finish their remaining holes in round two before beginning the final round immediately after.

- Sophomore Liam Judkins had four birdies in round one and is tied for 37th at 1-under 71.
- Domenic De Luca is tied for 81st at 2-over 74 after posting two birdies, two bogeys, and one double bogey.
- Freshman Nick Fry is tied for 89th at 3-over 75 after also posting three birdies.
- Sophomore Dillon Jonke is tied for 101st after carding a 5-over 77 in round one.
