Men's Golf Ties for 17th as Boman Finishes 42nd at Wyoming Cowboy Classic

MARICOPA, Ariz. - Freshman Tavin Boman matched his season-low with a 1-over 217 to lead the CSUN Men's Golf team to a 17th-place finish at the conclusion of the Wyoming Cowboy Classic at Ak-Chin Southern Dunes GC on Tuesday. The Matadors posted team rounds of 288-300-295 to finish at 19-over 883 which tied for 17th in the 23-team field.

Boman, who also finished at 217 at the Ka'anapali Classic in November, had a pair of birdies in the final round to finish at 2-over 74. He wound up posting rounds of 68-75-74 to finish in a tie for 42nd at 1-over 217.
After posting rounds of 71-76, sophomore Liam Judkins had three birdies in round three to also finish at 2-over 74. Judkins tied for 62nd at 5-over 221 for the tournament.
Freshman Nick Fry made the biggest jump of the day, moving up 13 spots into a tie for 82nd at 7-over 223. Fry had a pair of birdies and 14 pars in a final round even-par 72.
Domenic De Luca carded a final round 5-over 77 to slip into a tie for 88th at 8-over 224 (74-73-77).
Sophomore Dillon Jonke had three birdies in the final round to finish at 3-over 75 to tie for 111th at 16-over 232 (77-80-75).
