2015 (SENIOR): Finished 26th at the Oct. 31 Big West Championship (21:52.40)...was 23:26.90 at the NCAA West Regional...season-best eighth-place finish was run in a time of 18:09.80 over the 5k HIghlander Invitational...season-best 6k time was posted during the UC Riverside Invitational (21:35.80)...won the Pepperdine Invitational a career best 4k time of 14:29.70.
2014 (JUNIOR): Finished third at the Big West Championship in 20:27.20 which matched CSUN's best-ever individual finish...finished 26th at the NCAA West Regional at Stanford in a time of 21:00...won the season-opening San Francisco Invitational and the Aztec Invitational...also finished second at the Highlander Invitational, fourth at the UC Riverside Invitational and 10th at the Stanford Invitational.
PRIOR TO CSUN: Spent two seasons (2012-14) at Glendale College...competed for both the Vaqueros cross country and track squads.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2012 graduate of Saugus High School in Saugus, Calif.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Kathryn and Jeff Nelson...has one brother, Alex who attends Humboldt State and one sister, Nicole...favorite food is "anything my mom cooks"...chose CSUN because of the "great coaches and beautiful campus"...says the best thing about being an athlete is "being in shape"...says her dog Diesel is the one thing that always makes her smile.
