2010 (R-SENIOR): Opened season by running 33:04.02 at the Asics/UC Irvine Invitational...went 32:49.5 at the UC Riverside Invitational.
2009 (R-JUNIOR): A member of the CSUN men's cross country team.
2008 (REDSHIRT): Sat out the season as a redshirt in the CSUN program.
PRIOR TO CSUN: Competed in both track and cross country at L.A. Valley College from 2007-08...earned All-Western State Conference honors in the 4x400m relay and was fifth in the 800m at the conference meet...earned his associate of arts degree in 2008
in liberal studies.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2006 graduate of San Fernando High School in San Fernando, Calif...earned varsity letters in track...earned All-Valley Mission League honors as a senior...finished third in both the long jump and triple jump in both 2005 and 2006...graduated with a 3.2 grade point average.
PERSONAL: Son of Consuelo Bravo...has two brothers, Francisco and David and one sister, Jessica Pena...his mother attended Guadalajara University...favorites include actors Johnny Depp and Cate Blanchette, the TV show “South Park”, the movie “A Few Good Men” and the band Foo Fighters.
