Shakur spent two years at Diablo Valley College in Pleasant Hill, Calif. from 2024-25 ... qualified for the 2025 3C2A State Championships in the discus where he took 11th place at 41.32m (135-7) ... was second in the hammer throw at 46.80m (153-6) and fifth in the discus at 42.26m (138-8) at the Big 8 Championships in 2025 ... recorded a season-high in the discus of 45.23m (148-5) in 2025 ... began college career at Chapman University in 2023 ... won the discus title at the 2023 SCIAC Championships with a mark of 44.14m (144-10) ... prepped at Skyline High School and graduated in 2022 ... competed in track & field, volleyball (middle), football (tight end) and basketball (center) in high school.

Son of Khalid Shakur and Nerissa Johnson ... his stepfather is Larry Johnson ... favorites include the Golden State Warriors, Alex Hall, Denzel Washington, Zazie Beetz, the tv show "Curb Your Enthusiasm," the film "The Harder They Fall," N.E.R.D. and Malcolm Todd ... favorite food is mac and cheese ... chose CSUN because he feels he could get the best education and further his athletic career ... lists qualifying for the Junior Olympics while throwing with a fractured foot as his favorite sports moment ... says his dad is his hero ... majoring in Sociology ... plans to compete in track & field and travel to different countries after CSUN.Â
