OUTDOOR: Ran in the 1500m in one event...posted a time of 4:17.01 at the Oxy Invitational.
INDOOR: Competed in the mile run and 1500m...finished with a time of 4:26.03 in the mile to come in 28th at the MPSF Championship...placed 26th with a season-best time 4:24.33 in the mile run at the Armory Track Invitational...posted a season-best time of 4:05.96 in the 1500m at the Armory Track Invitational...competed with the distance medley relay team, placing ninth with a time of 10:39.00 at the MPSF Championship.
CROSS COUNTRY: Competed in five of CSUN's six meets...finished a season-best 39th at the 6k UCR Highlander Invitational in a time 19:26.39...best 8k time was 26:48.31 at the UCR Invitational...placed 62nd at the Big West Championship in 29:30.90...was one of four Matador men named Academic All-Conference.
2016 (FRESHMAN): Did not compete.
CROSS COUNTRY: Competed in three meets...finished 13th at the Pepperdine Invitational (17:12.85), 80th at the San Francisco Invitational (27:55.4) and 66th at the Highlander Invitational (19:58.00)
PRIOR TO CSUN: Gomez transferred to CSUN from the UTSA.
PERSONAL: Born Jan. 28, 1999...son of Julia and Carlos Gomez...favorites include the San Diego Chargers, distance runner Diego Estrada, actor Adam Sandler, the movie "That's My Boy" and shrimp tacos...says the best thing about being an athlete is "I can practice the sport I love."
