OUTDOOR: Entered four 100m races with a season-best :10.94 coming at the Beach Invite...season-best finish was a third at the UCSB Invitational (:11.06)...was ninth in the 100m at the UC Riverside Chris Rinne Twilight (:10.96)...competed in two 200m events, running a best of :23.10 at the Beach Invitational.
INDOOR: Did not compete.
2022 (FRESHMAN)
OUTDOOR: Ran the 100m at the Cal Poly Open and finished 11th (:12.06)...finished 24th in the 200m at the CSUN Invitational (:25.15).
INDOOR: Did not compete.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2019 graduate of Gross Catholic High School in Omaha, Neb…won the 2019 100m title in a prep-best time of :10.87 at the B-2 District Meet…also recorded a prep-best time in the 200m (:22.87) to win the 2019 B-2 District Meet…was the 2019 River Cities Conference Champion in the 100m and the 2019 River Cities Conference runner-up in the 200m…finished fifth in the 100m at the 2018 River Cities Conference meet…placed ninth in the 200m at the 2018 B-2 District Meet.

PERSONAL: Son of Sun Cheng Yao and Guo Li Sun…a Global Supply Chain Management major...favorites include Usain Bolt and Baidu.com…chose CSUN because it was the first school he traveled to in the United States…says greatest sports moment so far is running in the Nebraska High School state meet…says the best thing about being an athlete is no pain, no gain…says the toughest thing about being an athlete is losing…the person in history he would like to change places with is Usain Bolt…the best advice he has been given is help the people who do not have anything eat…says his greatest hero is his father who teaches him a lot.
