Jackson Payne appeared in 12 matches and 30 sets during his junior season ... made seven starts at middle blocker ... finished the season with 24 kills while hitting .246 on 57 swings ... posted 26 total blocks (2 solo) for a 0.87 blocks per set average, which ranked second on the Matadors ... also recorded six digs, five assists, and a pair of aces on the season ... hit a career-best .857 with six kills on seven errorless swings in his season debut against NJIT at the UCSB Invitational (Jan. 5) ... matched his season-high with six kills on a career-high 16 attacks against Harvard (Jan. 12) ... also matched his career-high with one ace against both NJIT and No. 20 George Mason (Jan. 6) ... posted a season-high five blocks against both No. 15 Lewis (Feb. 24) and No. 10 Pepperdine (Feb. 28).
CSUNÂ - 2023 (R-Sophomore)
Payne appeared in 22 matches and a career-high 63 sets during the 2023 season ... finished the season with 66 kills while hitting .350 on 137 swings ... averaged 1.05 kills per set and 0.84 blocks per set after posting 53 total blocks in 63 sets ... tied for second on the Matadors with eight solo blocks ... also added 15 digs, two aces, and seven assists ... put down a career-best eight kills while hitting .583 on 12 attacks in CSUN's 3-2 win at NJIT (Feb. 10) ... hit a season-best .833 with five kills on six swings against Menlo (Jan. 20) and hit .800 with four kills on five attacks vs. UC Santa Barbara (Apr. 14) ... recorded a career-high seven blocks against No. 4 Long Beach State (Apr. 8).
CSUNÂ - 2022 (R-Freshman)
Payne appeared in four matches and five sets in his first season after transferring from UC Irvine ... posted a pair of kills and three digs over four sets as a redshirt freshman ... notched his first CSUN kill at No. 12 Stanford (Feb. 18) and also had one kill against No. 3 Long Beach State (Apr. 16) ... also came on as a serving sub against Vanguard (Feb. 9) and St. Katherine (Feb. 23) ... had a season-high two digs against Long Beach State and had a single dig at Stanford.
UC IRVINE - 2021 (Freshman)
Payne redshirted his first season at UC Irvine in 2021.
