OUTDOOR: Won the 5000m, finishing with a time of 15:45.05, at the Ben Brown Invite...placed 74th with a season-best time of 15:25.58 in the 5000m at the Oxy Invitational...finished 12th in the 5000m Mar. 31 at Bob Larsen Distance Carnival (15:35.87).
INDOOR: Did not compete.
CROSS COUNTRY: Posted career best in the 10k at the NCAA West Regional when he ran 34:09.10 to place 182nd overall...finished 53rd at the Big West Championship, running 27:47.20 on the 8k course...was 34th at the Highlander Invitational (19:08.60 6k)...posted season best 8k time of 26:16.70 at the CXC West Region Preview...ran in each of the six events for the Matadors.
2016 (JUNIOR)
OUTDOOR: Did not compete.
INDOOR: Competed in one event, the 1000m at the Feb. 13 UW Open.
CROSS COUNTRY: Competed in all seven meets for the Matadors...best finish of the season was eighth place at the Pepperdine Invitational, clocking a time of 16:21.69...finished 41st at the Highlander Invitational...ran a 6k time of 19:03.64...placed 45th at the Big West Championship (26:16.32) and was 205th at the NCAA West Regional (39:30.40).
PRIOR TO CSUN: Spent 2013-14 running cross country at Oxnard College...was a team captain for coach Gene Sharp...accumulated a 3.5 grade point average.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2013 graduate of Hueneme High School...coach was Pablo Gallegos...competed in cross country, track, and soccer.
PERSONAL: Favorites include Real Madrid, US distance runner Matthew Centrowitz, tacos and the music of Blink-182.
