2016 (JUNIOR): Finished 60th at the Oct. 29 Big West Championships (24:44.60)...ran 24:16.20 at the NCAA West Regional on Nov. 11...turned in 5k season best at the Highlander Invitational (Oct. 15)...posted season best 6k time at the CXC West Region Preview on Oct. 1 (23:45.60).
PRIOR TO CSUN:Â Spent two seasons (2013-14, 2014-15) at Oxnard College...competed in both cross country and track for the Condors...was the Western State Conference champion in the steeplechase in 2015...ran cross country for coach Geno Sharp...earned her associate of arts degree in Natural Science in 2015.
HIGH SCHOOL
A 2013 graduate of Hueneme High School...competed in both cross country and track & field at was named team Most Valuable Player for the Vikings track team as a senior in 2013...also competed in volleyball.

Daughter of Gabriela and Jose Martinez...major is anthropology...has two sisters, Ana and Maricela and one brother, Aaron who attends Cal Poly...Ana also attends CSUN...favorite food is pizza...says her greatest moment in sports to date was finishing fifth in state which made school history at Oxnard College...says the best thing about being an athlete is "you are able to surround yourself with great people want to see you succeed.
