2015 (SENIOR): Put together an impressive season that resulted in her winning the ITA Southwest Region Most Improved Senior award and second team All-Big West honors in singles...finished the year with a team-best 15-4 record in singles play, including a 6-2 mark in Big West play...recorded notable victories over Eastern Michigan, Nevada, UTEP, UCSB, Wyoming, San Diego State, Cal Poly, UC Irvine and Hawai'i (twice)...worked with junior Jessica Warren to post a 12-5 mark primarily in the third draw...picked up impressive victories over Hawai'i (twice), San Diego State, UTEP, Nevada, Dartmouth and Cal Poly.
2014 (JUNIOR): Earned second team All-Big West Doubles honors with teammate Vivian Lin...duo went 9-8 overall and 8-7 at No. 1 draw...duo recorded notable victories over Air Force, Loyola Marymount, Long Beach State, Florida International and New Mexico State...finished 9-9 in singles...played at three spots and went 8-7 in the second and third draw combined...recorded notable victories over Air Force, Florida International, Montana, UMKC, Boise State and Cal State Fullerton.
PRIOR TO CSUN: Played two years of tennis at Santa Monica College and graduated in 2013.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2011 graduate of Taft High School...played four seasons of tennis for the Toradors.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Anayansi Velazquez and Roberto Rodriguez...majoring in Communications. stepfather is Juan Carlos Alvarez...has one brother, Carlos.
