OUTDOOR: Entered one event, the 5000m at the Pasadena Games (Mar. 23)...did not record a time.
INDOOR: Did not compete.
CROSS COUNTRY: Ran in all six events...posted season best 6k time at the Big West Championship (23:32.60) to finish 71st...posted season best 5k time of 20:08.80 at the CSUN Invitational Oct. 13...finished 21st at the UNLV Invitational (Sept. 29) in a time of 20:55.50.
2012 (FRESHMAN)
OUTDOOR: Ran once, the 10000m at the Cal-Nevada Championships on Mar. 31...finished 23rd in a time of 40:58.81.
INDOOR: Did not compete.
CROSS COUNTRY: Competed in the final two cross country meets of the season...ran 25:09.06 at the Northridge Invitational (Oct. 15) and then finished 72nd in a time of 24:40.5 at the Big West Championship in Riverside (Oct. 29).
PERSONAL: Daughter of Joan and Bari Waalk...undecided upon a major...has one younger brother, Zach and one younger sister, Kylee...favorites include Olympic distance runner Shalene Flanagan and the websites Tumblr and Pinterest...listens to "anything country"...says the best thing about being an athlete is "being able to push your body to extreme limits"...enjoys reading in her spare time and says no one knows how much "I am obsessed with Disneyland."
