2015 (SENIOR)
OUTDOOR: Competed in all four throwing events at the Big West Championship (May 15-16)...won the javelin title with a career best toss of 154-2...reset career-best in the shot when she finished fourth at the Big West's (49-5)...placed sixth in the hammer at the Big West Championship (180-3) and 10th in the discus (146-2)...finished third in the hammer at the UCR Spring Classic Invitational with a career best 184-9, the ninth best throw in school history...won the discus at UCR (Mar. 27) with a career best 175-3 which is the fifth best in school history...named Academic All-Conference.
INDOOR: Reset career best in the weight throw (53-7 1/2) at the Armory Track Invitational (Jan. 31)...that performance is the 10th best in school history...placed 10th in the shot put at the MPSF Championship with an indoor best 46-8 3/4...named Academic All-MPSF.
2014 (JUNIOR)
OUTDOOR: Qualified for all four throwing events at the Big West Championship for the second straight year...finished second in the discus with a best of 163-6 and was third in the shot put after posting a best of 47-10 1/2...was third in the javelin with a season-best 146-3...finished the meet with a fourth-place finish in the hammer (180-7)...her season-best in the javelin (146-3) at the Big West's ranks fourth on the CSUN all-time outdoor records list while her discus mark that she put up at the Big West's (163-6) ranks seventh…named Academic All-Conference.
INDOOR:Â Competed in one event, the Mountain T's Invitational at Northern Arizona Feb. 7-8...threw the shot put (42-1 1/4) and weight throw (49-6 1/4)...named Academic All-MPSF.
2013 (SOPHOMORE)
OUTDOOR: Reached finals in all four throwing events at the Big West Championship...took second in the javelin after edging out teammate Marissa Rossi ...finished with a best of 138-10...finished among the top-10 in the discus (sixth), hammer (eighth) and shot put (10th)..her javelin best of 139-4 was at the Texas Invitational (Apr. 13)...her toss in Texas ranks fifth on the all-time CSUN outdoor list...top throw in the discus of 156-5 at the Big West Championship was her season best...best performance in the hammer throw (162-5) came in the season-opening Northridge Invitational (Mar. 16)...season-best in the shot (44-8) came at the Adidas/Steve Scott Invitational in Irvine (Apr. 28)…named Academic All-Conference.
INDOOR:Â Competed in two events...posted a best n the shot put of 40-5 to finish second at the NYU Team Challenge (Jan. 19).Â
2012 (FRESHMAN)
OUTDOOR: Finished fourth in the shot put at the Big West Championship after tossing a season-best of 43-7 3/4 in the final...placed eighth in the discus at the Big West Championship with a top mark of 134-11...season best in the discus was 138-6 which came in an 11th-place finish at the Steve Scott Invitational (Apr. 29)...had a season best of 127-7 in the hammer at the Cal State LA Twilight Open (Apr. 19).
INDOOR: Did not compete in track, played volleyball at CSUN...appeared in 37 sets for the Matadors...recorded six service aces, four assists, and one kill.
HIGH SCHOOL:Â A 2011 graduate of Poway High School...was an outside hitter for the Titans for three seasons...earned team MVP honors in both 2009 and 2010...was the team leader in kills and aces as well as being named Most Inspirational...competed as a thrower for the track& field team...was the CIF champion in the shot put as well as being named Most Valuable Female Thrower from 2009-11...graduated with a 3.2 grade point average.
PERSONAL:Â Daughter of Lori McMorris and Dave Counts...stepmother Bonnie Counts-Bright played volleyball at UC Santa Barbara...has one younger sister, Maile...favorites include actors Johnny Depp, Sandra Bullock, Brittany Snow and Queen Latifah, the TV show "Pretty Little Liars" and the movie "How the Grinch Stole Christmas"...chose CSUN because of the "great opportunity, great coaching and great school"...lists John F.Kennedy as the one person in history she would like to meet.
