Brooke Dawson appeared in 26 matches and 78 sets during her first season at CSUN ... earned 10 starts as a defensive specialist ...for the season, ranked sixth on the Matadors with 101 digs and tied for sixth averaging 1.29 digs per set ... was also sixth on the squad with 10 aces to go with seven assists ... notched double figures in digs twice including a season-high 11 in CSUN's 3-1 win at Denver (Sept. 14) ... also had 10 digs in a five-set win at UC Davis (Nov. 30) that helped clinch CSUN's first-ever Big West Championship ... had one ace in 10 different matches.

Dawson played two seasons for the Brahmas of Los Angeles Pierce College in Woodland Hills, Calif. ... earned second team All-Western State Conference honors in 2012 and honorable mention accolades in 2011 ... was also named Most Inspirational following the 2012 season ... the Brahmas won a pair of state championships and 66 consecutive matches over her two seasons ... was named to the All-Tournament Team at the 2012 Final Four ... earned her associate of arts degree in 2012.
