Matadors Fourth After Two Rounds in Arizona

NORTHRIDGE, CA - The CSUN women's golf team posted its low round of the season Monday and the Matadors are fourth after 36 holes at the Bobcat Spring Invitational at The Golf Club of Estrella in Goodyear, AZ.
CSUN opened with a team round of 307 before posting an afternoon round of 299, its lowest of the season. At 606, the Matadors trail team-leading Seattle (600) by just six strokes heading into Tuesday's final round. CSUN missed its best 36-hole score of the season by just two shots.
Junior Cesilie Hagen is bidding for her best finish of the season as she is currently tied for fourth at five-over 149. Hagen opened Monday with a two-over 74 before posting a three-over 75 in the afternoon. She heads into the final round just seven shots back of Northern Colorado's Kayla Keltz (142).
Cake Phuchanbanchob is also in the top 15 as she is tied for 14th at nine-over 153. Phuchanbanchob bounced back from an opening round 79 to post a second round two-over 74. After a tough opening round 82, freshman Ysabel Tran also had a nice second round as she posted CSUN's low round of the day at one-over 73. Tran is currently tied for 24th at 11-over 155.
Elsewhere, Arinda Bhanaraksa is tied for 31st at 12-over 156 (74-82) and Shenna DeLeon is tied for 37th at 13-over 157 (80-77).
CSUN will play its final round before next week's Big West Championship as the Matadors tee off Tuesday at 7:45 a.m.
