Matadors Claim Dual Match vs. CSU Bakersfield

NORTHRIDGE, CA - The CSUN women's golf team won a Friday dual match against host CSU Bakersfield, 305-334 at Bakersfield Country Club.
The Matadors are peaking at the right time according to head coach Gina Umeck as they travel for their final Big West tuneup next week in Goodyear, AZ.
Arinda Bhanaraksa had the low round of Friday's dual against the Roadrunners as the CSUN senior fired a two-under 71. Julie Ward, competing as an indvidual, finished second with a one-over 74 with Ysabel Tran third at two-over 75.
CSUN completed the top five scorers as Cesilie Hagen was fourth at six-over 79 and Cake Phuchanbanchob was fifth at seven-over 80. Also for the Matadors, Shenna DeLeon finished tied for ninth at 11-over 84 and CSUN's other individual, Chaiwon Youn was 13th at 15-over 88.
The Matadors open Montana State's Bobcat Spring Invitational next Monday (Apr. 11) at the Golf Club of Estrella.
