The CSUN men's and women's track and field teams head to Seattle this weekend for the first of three appearances on the University of Washington's Dempsey Indoor Facility as the Matadors will take part in the UW Invitational.

NORTHRIDGE, Calif.—The CSUN men's and women's track and field teams head to Seattle this weekend for the first of three appearances on the University of Washington's Dempsey Indoor Facility as the Matadors will take part in the UW Invitational.

Friday's running events will begin at 4:30 p.m. with the field events beginning at 5 p.m. On Saturday, all action begins at 9 a.m. FloTrack will stream the event for a fee with free live stats available on GoMatadors.com.

Entering this week, three CSUN men's competitors are ranked in the NCAA Indoor Performance list. Michael Merchan is 25th in the 800m with a time of 1:50.94. Clint Meyer is 43rd in the shot put (58-5 3/4) while Dawaun Lucas is 67th in the shot (56-3 1/4). Merchan's time is the fourth quickest in school history and current stands as the fastest in the MPSF.

On the women's side, two Matadors' are ranked in the NCAA Indoor Performance list. Brandy Williams is 69th in the shot put (48-11). Courtney Robinson is 71st in the 60 hurdles (8.52). Robinson's time is the third fastest in school history.

The CSUN women recorded five performances that are now among the top 10 in school history, led by Robinson and Williams. Daniel Swarbrick's weight throw (58-10 3/4) joins Merchan's and Meyer's performances in the Matadors' indoor top 10.
