Sophomore Ryan Hoffenberg, a transfer from San Diego State, made his Matador debut Monday and is tied for 52nd at seven-over 151 (74-77).
"It's nice when you have two freshman shooting under par, Tomas and Paul-Louis both played well today," said CSUN Head Coach Jim Bracken. "Tomas (Skajem) also played well today so we're definitely moving in the right direction."
The Matadors open the final round tied with UC Irvine for fifth place, four shots behind fourth-place Seattle. Nevada holds the team lead at 552 (-24).
"I know we have talent and lot more depth than we had last year," added Bracken. "I think we're going to keep getting better and I hope to finish up with a strong round tomorrow."
All teams will tee off the final round at 8:15 with the Matadors starting on holes five through eight.
