NORTHRIDGE, Calif.—The CSUN women's tennis program returns home Saturday when the Matadors (1-2, 1-1 Big West) host the University of Nevada at 11 a.m.

The Wolfpack are 1-3 prior to a Feb. 22 match at UC Riverside. Claudia Herrero leads the team in singles victories with 13 (13-7). Herrero has a 7-5 doubles record with four different partners this season.

Cal State Fullerton defeated CSUN 4-0 in Big West play last Friday. The Titans earned the win at No. 1 doubles when Sarah Nuno and Karal Portalatin defeated Elisa Elhadj and Alicia Dinkelmeyer 6-1. Monika Van de Vondel and Skyla Alcon earned the win for the Matadors at No. 2 doubles as the CSUN duo defeated Genevieve Zeidan and Masako Makiba 6-3. Cal State Fullerton would earn the doubles point as Caisey Lee Emery and Luxizi Meng handed Kiryang Kim and Mari Taslagyan a 6-4 defeat at No. 3 doubles.

Zeidan would defeat Van de Vondel 6-3, 6-0 at No. 2 singles to make it 2-0 in favor of the Titans. Nuno defeated Elhadj 6-4, 6-3 at No. 1 to put Cal State Fullerton on the brink of the dual win. Portalatin clinched the dual in favor of the Titans with a straight sets victory against Alcon at No. 3 singles. Taslagyan was up a set and 4-3 in the second at No. 6 singles when the dual was clinched by Cal State Fullerton.
