CSUN Travels To Arizona's Desert Heat Classic

NORTHRIDGE, Calif.—The CSUN men's and women's track and field teams travel to the University of Arizona Desert Heat Classic Saturday.
In addition to CSUN and the host Wildcats, scheduled to compete in the meet are Arizona State, NM State, Northern Arizona, Oregon, San Diego State, and UTEP. The Oregon women are ranked third in this week's USTFCCCA Top 25 poll while the Oregon men are 10th in the USTFCCCA poll.

The field events are scheduled to begin at 2:30 p.m. with the first running event set to begin at 6 p.m.

The Matadors competed as a team at both the Long Beach State Pacific Coast Intercollegiate and the Long Beach State Invitational last week. The CSUN men were fifth in the PCI and 24th in the Invitational (of 68 teams). The Matador women won the Pacific Coast Intercollegiate with 29 points and came in 18th (of 54 teams) in the invitational.

With the Big West Outdoor Championships set for May 4-5 (multi) and May 11-12 (full track and field) coming up, the Matadors are among the league leaders. Below are links to the BWC performance lists
