NORTHRIDGE, Calif.—CSUN hosts the 2018 Big West Conference Track and Field Championships this week. The field events get underway at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. each day. Saturday's finals will be televised on Fox Sports Prime Ticket (check your local listings for the channel number) and will be streamed via FoxSportsGo website and the FoxSportsGo app.

The Matador women, the defending conference champion and winners of two of the past three league titles, will have the top seed in the 100m hurdles (Courtney Robinson, :13.46), 400m hurdles (De'Andreah Young, :57.81), and in the shot put (Brandy Williams, 52-6). CSUN has the second best mark in the triple jump (Sydney Berry, 41-1 1/2), shot put (Jasmine Pharms and Elena Lopez, 49-9), and the pole vault (Gardenia Centanaro, 13-0 3/4). Â

The CSUN men will feature the top seed in the shot put (Clint Meyer, 60-1) and in the hammer (Erick Loomis, 223-11). The Matadors are the No. 2 seed in the shot (Dawaun Lucas 55-6 1/2) and No. 3 in the 110m hurdles (Joshua Turner, :14.30) and the 1500m (Michael Merchan (3:49.68).
