CSUN Gears Up for Battle with SE Louisiana

NORTHRIDGE, Calif -- The CSUN women's tennis team returns to action at home Friday when the Matadors host Southeastern Louisiana University. The non-conference dual will begin at 1 p.m.
The Lions have yet to square off in conference play but are 3-3 on the season prior to their dual with the Matadors. Southeastern Louisiana's wins this season have come against Jackson State, Alcon State and LSU Alexandria University. Putri Insani (3-1) and Ceci Mercier (3-0) share the team lead in singles victories for SLU. The Lions are completing a six-game road trip at season after not having played at home since Feb 1.
CSUN is coming off a highly contested conference bout with the UC Davis Aggies, where the Matadors lost 4-3. CSUN is coming off back to back losses versus conference opponents, but remain undefeated this season in non-conference games. Sibel Demirbaga (6-0) and Ana Isabel Fraile Toboso (5-0) are both undefeated in singles' play to begin the season. The doubles team of Skyla Alcon and Toboso lead the team in wins (4-1) on the campaign.
