ACCORDING TO HEAD COACH GARY VICTOR
"We are so pleased with how the team responded to a grueling couple of weeks and a very tough nail biter at Cal Poly. Lauren [Anderson] stepped in with Monika out and came through with flying colors today. She and Skyla played outstanding doubles to clinch the point and set the tone. Eastern Washington was coming off a big win over Irvine and played with very good confidence and energy. Our team stayed strong and found the energy needed. Skyla, Emma, Jolene, Sibel and Ana continue to be all in and play with passion and energy."
UP NEXT:
The Matadors head to UC Riverside April 6 for a Big West matchup against the Highlanders. UCR is 5-8 (0-3 BWC) this season.
