WHAT'S COMING UP
The Matadors return to Northridge this week to open a four-game homestand. CSUN hosts Santa Clara Thursday night at 7 p.m. and San José State on Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m.

Both games will be streamed on ESPN+ with Jill Painter Lopez on the call. All links will be on GoMatadors.com.

HEY CSUN STUDENTS
At each home basketball game this season, CSUN Students will have the opportunity to enter to win the chance to grab up to $500 cash in the Premier America Credit Union Money Machine. This will be in addition to CSUN Students getting a chance to several great prizes that will be offered throughout the season.

ABOUT SANTA CLARA
The Broncos fell to 73-63 after losing to Sacramento State on Monday night before traveling to CSUN to face its third Big West opponent in four games.
Â
Tess Heal leads the team in scoring at 20.0 points per game. Ayzhiana Basallo (15.7) and Olivia Pollerd (12.0) are also averaging in double figures.

This is the 13th time that CSUN and Santa Clara are playing women's basketball with the Broncos leading the all-time series 9-3. The teams last played in 2019 when Santa Clara won 76-55 in Northridge. Â

ABOUT SJSU
Under first-year head coach April Phillips, the Spartans are 0-2 after losing at Tulsa and to Cal State Fullerton.

Jada Holland is the team leader in scoring (13.5) and assists (6). Marisa David-Jones is second in scoring (10.0) and leads the team in rebounding (9.5). Â

The Matadors have won two in a row in the series, with the last game being played in 2019 when CSUN defeated SJSU 76-40. CSUN and San José State are playing for the 15th time with the Spartans leading the all-time series 8-6.

IN REWIND
Three CSUN players scored in double figures, but No. 19 Arizona defeated the Matadors 87-47 in women's basketball action last Sunday at the McKale Center. Jordyn Jackson paced the Matadors with 12. Michelle Duchemin and Tess Amundsen both posted 10 points.
