CSUN Sends Distance Runners to Franson Classic

AZUSA, Calif.—The CSUN Men's and Women's Track and Field team sent a limited squad of distance runners to the Azusa Pacific Franson Classic on Saturday.
TOP MEN'S PERFORMANCE
"It was an exciting night! We were competitive, we made bold moves, and finished strong. The athletes agreed on some tactical decisions that defined the difference between a very good performance and a great performance. On the women's side, Elin lowered her 1500 time to 5:06.89 while Torrie slashed :22 of her season's best and broke 20 minutes in the 5000, running 19:59. On the men's side, the big pop of the day came from Aaron who lowered his season's best in the 800 to 2:14.86."

- Quinn Garity finished second in the 1500m. Garity posted a time of 3:56.98.
- Leann Hamilton placed 12th in the 1500m, running 5:05.36.
