NORTHRIDGE, Calif.—The Big West Men's and Women's Track Championship continues this week at UC Davis as the running and field events get underway. Friday's field competition begins at 9 a.m., with Friday's track races starting at 2 p.m.

The championship concludes on Saturday, beginning with 9 a.m. field events. Saturday's track races start at 1 p.m. There will be recap show on ESPN+ beginning on May 24.

Individually in the Big West
- Chris Pitts is first in the 400m and 10th in the 200m (:21.50).
- David Phillips, Jr. is fourth in the 100m (:10.53) and sixth in the 200m (:21.28).
- Ahmed Mohamed is fifth in the triple jump (47-5 1/4).
- Isaiah Rucker is eighth in the high jump (6-6 3/4) and 10th in the triple jump (46-6 1/4).
- Zavion Harper is 10th in the 110m hurdles (:14.68).
- The 4x400m relay is third (3:10.75).
- The 4x100m relay is fifth (:41.13).

- The 4x100m relay is first (:45.75).
- Sameerah Evans is third in the triple jump (40-9).
- Brianna Kelpis is seventh in the javelin (135-3).

LAST TIME OUT
Brianna Kelpis recorded a career-best 4,575 points to finish fourth in the Big West Conference Heptathlon on May 6-7.Â

Kelpis opened the competition by running :15.67 in the 100m hurdles, which gave her a ninth-place finish and 755 points. Kelpis reset her career-high in the high jump when she cleared 5-1. She scored 678 points and tied for fourth in the event. She won the shot put with a career-best toss of 41-11 1/2. The performance resulted in 713 points. Kelpis ran a career-best :27.81 in the 200m to wrap up the day. She finished 12th overall, scoring 646 points.

Kelpis, a sophomore, recorded a leap of 17-0 3/4 (614 points) on her final attempt in the long jump to finish third. In her first attempt to win the event, the Lancaster, Calif. native won the javelin (126-9). She recorded 641 points for her effort. Kelpis placed 13th in the 800m (2:43.99) to score 528 points to conclude the competition.Â
Kelpis reset career bests in the high jump (5-1), shot put (41-11 1/2), and 200m (:27.81) during the event.
