ACCORDING TO COACH JUSTIN JOHNSON
"This was a unique weekend for the team. We split the team up and traveled to two different meets. The sprints group competed in New Mexico while the rest of the team competed in Washington. Splitting the team up gave every event group the best opportunity to compete in an environment that was best suited for their event. The group that competed at the UW Invitational performed well. We came away from this meet with one event winner and 13 individual PR's. The team as a whole is performing ahead of schedule when you compare our results from last season. We have several areas where we can make improvements. Overall, we are in a good place. I believe our team has barely scratched the surface of what we are capable of."
ACCORDING TO COACH JACOB YOWELL
"This was a weekend that leaves the group with a variety of emotions. The men came out on fire on day one and it paved the way for the rest of the weekend. Similarly, our women's team is ahead of where we were a year ago. Execution wise, there are a few things to clean up, but when we do, watch out! We head back home with 16 personal bests and seven all-time top-10 performances. I'll take those results any time we step into a meet. Overall, the effort was there, and I believe the group took advantage of every opportunity to go out and compete to the best of their ability, and that's all we can ask for as coaches. As the experience in the group grows the more success they will see. Excited for what's there for the taking for this group."
