COACH ARI HOMAYUNÂ SAID
"It was good to get that first win this morning. Southeastern Louisiana knows how to battle and they proved that in the second match. We weren't quite handling the ball to the level that we are capable of and SLU took advantage of that. We had opportunities across the board and it was a bummer that we could not capitalize. We play the #9 (LBSU) and #1 (UCLA) teams in the country next Tuesday and we've got to be ready to play some good volleyball and that's what the rest of this week's practice will be about."
UP NEXT
The Matadors will be off until next Tuesday (Apr. 9) when CSUN travels to UCLA's Mapes Beach to take on the top-ranked Bruins and No. 9 Long Beach State in a tri-dual beginning at 1 p.m. The Matadors return home the following day to host Cal State LA in a pair of dual matches at 10 a.m. and 12 p.m.
