Branden Berry appeared in 53 games, starting primarily at first base...achieved new collegiate career highs in batting average (.294), runs scored (31), doubles (13), home runs (9), RBI (44), walks (22) and on-base percentage (.403)...also finished with 58 hits, four stolen bases and a .508 slugging percentage...earned a Big West Conference Honorable Mention...in the Big West, he finished second in home runs, third in slugging and fourth in RBI...drove in the game-winning runs in five games on the year against the likes of UCLA (3/8/16), Houston Baptist (3/18/16, 3/19/16), Portland (3/25/16) and Cal Poly (5/7/16)...produced a team-best 10 multiple-RBI games as well as 15 multiple-hit games...registered a team-best 30-game on-base streak...drove in 22 RBI in non-conference play and in conference play....went 2-for-4 with five RBI and two home runs in the season opener against CSU Bakersfield (2/19/16)...drove in six RBI, picked up three hits, hit a home run and scored four times in a win over #14 UCLA...hit a game-tying eighth inning home run in an eventual CSUN win over UConn (3/13/16)...went 4-for-13 with four RBI and two doubles in the UC Santa Barbara series (4/15/16-4/17/16)...drove in four RBI over the final two games of the season at UC Irvine (5/27/16-5/28/16)...selected in the 33rd round of the MLB First-Year Player Draft by the Miami Marlins and signed a professional contract with the organization.
