Akerlind played four years of volleyball at JSerra Catholic High School in San Juan Capistrano, CA ... was a three-time first team All-Trinity League selection ... played middle blocker, opposite and outside hitter for the Lions and coach Tim Layton ... was named team Most Valuable Player in 2016 ... graduated in 2017 with a 3.3 grade point average.

Born July 11, 1999 in Fullerton, CA ... parents are Iolanta and Eric Akerlind ... has one sister, Aleksis and one brother, Jake ... favorites include the Los Angeles Kings, Green Bay Packer QB Aaron Rodgers, actors Wentworth Miller and Margot Robbie, the TV show "Prison Break" and the movie "Step Brothers" ... says he chose CSUN because of the "volleyball and the marketing program" ... plans on majoring in Marketing.
