CSUN - 2024 (R-Senior)
OUTDOOR: Smith competed in three meets ... recorded a season-best 100m time of 11.03 at the Titan Tune-Up (5/3/24) ... posted a 200m time of 23.24 at the Steve Scott Invitational (4/27/24).
INDOOR: Did not compete in any meets.
CSUN - 2023 (R-Junior)
OUTDOOR: Reset outdoor best in the 200m after running 21.96 to place fourth at the Fresno State Bulldog Classic ... finished a season-best fifth in the 100m at the the Bulldog Classic (11.05)...a part of the CSUN 4x100m relay that won the season-opening UCSB Invitational ... ran on the 4x100m relay that went 39.97 (fourth-fastest in school history) at the Johnson/Joyner-Kersee Collegiate to finish second ... a part of the CSUN 4x400m relay that won at UCSB.
INDOOR: Ran a season-best 6.96 in the 60m during the preliminaries of the MPSF Championships ... also ran a season-best in the 200m during the prelims of the MPSF's, 22.02 ... a part of the CSUN 4x400m relay that placed fourth at the MPSF's (3:16.74) ... season-best finish was a seventh in the 300m at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Invitational (35.93).
CSUN - 2022 (R-Sophomore)
OUTDOOR: Earned All-Conference honors in both the 4x100m and 4x400m relay as he helped both squads to a third place finish at the Big West Championship ... posted season bests in both the 100m (10.88) and the 200m (22.20) at the University of California Brutus Hamilton Invitational ... season best finish in the 100m (7th) came during the Hamilton Invitational .. .season best finish in the 200m was 10th at the CSUN Invitational.
INDOOR: Did not compete.
PRIOR TO CSUN
Finished sixth in the 200m (21.93) at the 2019 CCCAA State Championships for Chabot College as the program took home the team title … finished sixth in the 100m at the 2019 NorCal Championships after running a season-best time in the 100m of 10.67 in the preliminaries of the event … won the 2019 Coast Conference title in the 200m after running a season best time of 21.44 … helped Chabot win a pair of 4x400m relay titles during the 2019 regular season … placed third in the 100m (10.99) and sixth in the 200m (22.20) in lone 2020 appearance at the Chabot Relays … earned AA degree in Liberal Arts: Kinesiology/Wellness.

Son of Rashad Smith and Lorina Wilson … a Kinesiology-Sport Studies major ... favorites include the Golden State Warriors, Andre De Grasse, One Piece, and Bacon … chose CSUN because he felt that he would fit in well and had confidence that he could grow in the CSUN atmosphere … says his greatest sports moment is running his 200m PR of 21.44, he says he was bummed from a meet before where his heat that had its times lost due to a generator running out, says it was one of his best races, so it was satisfying to do better and have it timed at the conference championship … says the best thing about being an athlete is the satisfaction of growth, it’s more realistic and noticeable than general growth as a human, you actual see and feel the results of what you’ve been working for … says the toughest thing about being an athlete is maintaining the motivation/perseverance to keep going, because growth is such an important aspect, it can get frustrating when growth doesn’t come as planned and keeping the mental stability in those times can be extremely tough … says the best athlete he has competed against is Roman Johnson…says the most famous person he has met is Sage the Gemini … the people in history he would like to meet is Louis Armstrong and Florence Griffin-Joyner … two people in history he would like to have dinner with are Malcolm X and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. … his advice to young people is take life day-by-day, it’s all right to be ambitious and set goals, but don’t be so blinded by goal that you let precious moments pass you by … says his greatest hero is his mother, who he has witnessed face more obstacles than any other person he knows and though they often seem difficult or even impossible, she finds a way to solve it, even at her own expense.
