2018 (FRESHMAN): Appeared in 32 games, starting 12 times…posted five hits in 32 at-bats…drove in the game winning run in the bottom of the seventh in the 9-8 victory over Stanford Feb. 10…scored 10 runs…drove in four runs…charted one double and one triple...stole one base in one attempt…made 12 putouts in 13 chances (12-0-1)...earned NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete honors.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2017 graduate of Clovis West High School…coach was Peggy Rigby…named first team All-League three times...chosen as a 2017 City-County All-Star after hitting .500 as a senior…selected team MVP as a senior…a four-year letter winner...graduated with a 4.0 grade point average and was awarded Clovis West’s Principal’s Medallion.
PERSONAL: Born Apr. 23, 1999…daughter of Caroline and Mark Martinez…a computer engineering major…has one brother; Matteo and one sister; Marissa…father played baseball at Cal State East Bay…favorite team is the San Francisco Giants…favorite food is a sandwich on sourdough bread…chose CSUN because the coaches are the best of the best and how they run the program.
